I needed to submit a CV, fast, for a new consultation job. I decided to ask Google AI for help. And it was very helpful indeed! Here’s the result.
The main resource used by the AI was of course my Google Scholar listing, https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=yJj_DosAAAAJ&hl=en. You will see there that I have an H-index of 50 (50 papers authored or co-authored by myself have been cited 50 times or more; but, alas, the 51st most cited paper was cited less than 50 times). We statisticians refer to the Hirsch index as the age-index. It is also thought of as a vanity index. It automatically increases with age. I’m presently one of the four most cited mathematicians in the Netherlands. We four are simply the oldest living academic mathematicians in this country. So I have a chance of 1 in 4 of becoming, though probably only for a short time, the most-cited academic mathematician in the Netherlands.
